My biggest challenge thus far has been moving across the country to attend university. My entire world was changed and I was exposed to new cultures, people, and ways of life. It was a challenge in that it pushed me out of my comfort zone, but ultimately it sparked an unbelievable and rewarding learning experience. I’ve learned so much about myself and the world around me from the people I’ve crossed paths with. In a leader, I expect someone to carry themselves with integrity and to always strive to continue learning and empowering those around them.

One challenge I’ve overcome was coming to the U.S. not knowing the language or having my parents here to guide me. I knew that I had to work hard, learn the language, and it motivated me to get an American education. I find compassion important for a leader, who can relate to all people.
